Best writing Pop and Buck from Lancaster Online Talkback
In one afternoon, using humor, they made the mayor and a lot of other officials eat crow. Pops best line - dumb hungery people Bucks - Country Crow Medallions. He should send that recipe to the mayor, although I have to agree with Pop, mayonnaise doesnt go well with crow.
Worst story Coroner calls for better quarters (see below)
The story itself wasnt bad, but the author and editors at the Intell acted as if this were just another story. Its not. You cant get murder convictions under these circumstances. This story is far from over.
Best Recovery (kind of) Ad Crable.
After writing the dreadful, unresearched and ridiculous Crow killer: poison cheese curls he bravely stuck with it and came back with two more stories. (Next time Ad, check with the state agencies before you write your story.)
Worst Headline Hot fixins" - New Era 1-10-05
I have no problem with the story, which actually was quite good and about a couple rehabbing an old building in Columbia for a restaurant. I dont get the misleading headline. Why hot? Because there was a fire in the building in 1964? Why fixins? (Its not in the dictionary folks.) Is it a pun on fix-it-upper or food? Who cares? Good story, terrible headline.
