PLEASE DO ME A FAVOR
CORRUPTION
The Lancaster Newspapers are Doing it Again!
On February 13, 2005, I posted this under "Sunday Notes" and it is still under the button, "NOTES - FEB 7-13" on the left:
"~ You must see Christiane David's artwork at 142 N. Prince Street. It is just gorgeous and there are items ranging from $5.00 to the thousands. I happened in by chance and was transfixed. I'm also poorer now. Her website is www.christianedavid.com. I haven't been there yet but I intend to go."
The next day, on February 14, 2005, the Lancaster New Era ran this story, "Gallery Row offers art enthusiasts exciting opportunities." The link is here:
http://www.lancasteronline.com/pages/news/1450
There is not one mention of Christiane David's gallery, although they talk about the galleries on either side of hers.
Rather than give her a boost, it appears I have done the opposite. The Lancaster Newspapers are up to their old tricks. In the LIP days, they used to tell businesses that if they advertised in LIP, the Lancaster Newspapers would not run their advertising. That is the truth. Further, they used to tell individuals and organizations that if they gave LIP an interview, they would not do an interview/run an article on them.
They are returning to those tactics. The last thing I wanted to do was "hurt" Christiane David, but it appears I did.
Please do me (and yourself) a favor. Go to her gallery at 142 N. Price Street and tell her you read about it in LIP News. Thank you.
