Dan Messimer, the "Cable Guy"     WAS THE MAYOR STEALING CABLE?        "I am the Cable Technician who was performing disconnects in Charlie's neighborhood and a gentleman walked up to me as I came down from my ladder and asked me if I was disconnecting the Mayor's cable.  I said, "no, why?"  He said, "because it is illegal."  I ran a check on his account and found nothing listed back at the office in our computers and as others have posted the automated system does not even recognize all 3 of his phone numbers as a current customer even to this day (May 24, 2005)."       "Charlie has no single line coming from the mid-span to the front of his house on Lemon Street as is the norm!!!     "...after being told there was no hookup to the Mayor's house, and that he was never hooked up, I then disconnected the 3rd line coming off the splitter.  I disconnected it, put a terminator on it and red tagged it and wrote the number of the red tag on my work order."   This was posted by Dan Messimer, under the name,  "crazy_cable_guy" on Lancaster Online on May 24, 2005.  The pictures and captions below are from Dan Messimer on July 5, 2005. _______________________________________________________________   "This is a picture of the red tag placed on Smithgall's illegal line."                                             "This is the document I filed with the sub-contracting company I worked for at the time it was then forwarded to Comcast.  Line found to be illegal.  My tech number at the bottom is 510.  The D stands for Disconnected."      "This is a picture of the Pharmacy with the telephone pole to the right where the cable lines are coming in from!"     "This is a simulated picture of what Charlie's cable line looked like after it was found to be illegal.  And disconnected.  As you can tell the top cable on the right is not like the others.  That is because this is the illegal line.  The long cylinder placed on the end is designed not to let a signal get through this cylinder called a terminator.  They were both placed on his 3 way splitter on October 13, 2004.  From that point on his illegal residential line was disconnected.  It was also marked with red tag number 507623."     "This picture was taken less than a week after it was disconnected.  Note the difference between the disconnected photo and this one.  Charlie had someone take the splitter and the terminator off and disconnected all the lines and replaced it with a new one but never took the red tag off.  This line with the red tag on it goes up over the Pharmacy roof and splits into 2 lines via a two way splitter.  Both lines then go into the Smithgall's residence through a hole in their new addition put on years ago.  This line is even covered with silver roof coating.  This line was also not replaced when the other new lines were put in.  This old line is still connected."         MUCH MORE IS COMING TOMORROW.   THE "FREE THE CABLE GUY PAGE" IS HERE.
